One of the most embarrassing games I've seen the Lady Techsters play in a while. Malcolm Butler described it accurately in the post-game show--this team was sleepwalking. No energy, little effort on defense. I'm surprised it was as close as it ended up. Many--and I mean many--of PV's shots were completely uncontested.
We aren't gonna beat many teams who shoot 50% from the arc and 50% from the field. Even then, if we'd limited turnovers, we might have won. The final score was WAY closer than it should have been, PVAM came to play and stomped on the neck early.
We didn't contest for many rebounds. Had a good 3" on PVAM on average, just the fire wasn't there. Even so, rebounds turned out roughly the same, but they got a ton of second chance points and they rarely missed twice.

What has happened to Tech after Thanksgiving. None of our teams have any passion. Not picking on the Techsters, but we are being embarrassed right now. I just don't get it.

Post mortem:
Okay. They wanted it more; we were over-confident that we could pull it out in the end. That's on the players, since the coaches were warning them ahead of the game exactly what was capable of happening.
Attitude will fix itself after this embarassment. But what's the book on us now? What have future opponents learned, and will those weaknesses be there at the end of December?
The turnovers: Have we been exposed? Did PV do something other teams can duplicate? Cole obviously has a special knack. But was there also a scheme aspect?
Both our PGs got picked like Friday's turkey going into the soup pot. How much of that was technique? Do they have exploitable holes in their ball handling? Is there something in our offense that creates "tells" a savvy defender can use?
seems to.be a trend with our athletic teams starting with football game Saturday. This "sleepwalking" aliment is contiguous.
Was there something about the academic schedule, either the week before or on return from Thanksgiving break? Lack of passion, focus, desire... did no one put oysters in the dressing this year?

Quarter break extends over Thanksgiving. I suspect that had something to do with it, classes are just now starting.
No. Bad, yes, but not the worst. If PV plays like they did last night they will win a lot of games.

You got that right. PV shot only 6 of 15 free throws, missed a bunch of easy shots they shouldn't be getting, flew after loose balls and rocketed after rebounds, their bench was animated and into the game. It could have been 20 pts and really was remiscent of Saturday. We better fix this and football or the sunbelch will put two whoopins on us Dec 19 when the usl-ull women come to Ruston while we're playing in NOB. All this from a sunshine jumper!
Very disappointing result! This team needs: (1) Santos to remain on the court ; (2) Moten to build on last year's play and (3) someone to take on the job of perimeter defender. I realize that these are not the only problems; however, they seem to pop in most of the games (win or lose).
Yeah if you're talking about the Techsters of 20 yrs ago. But if your talking about the Techsters from the last 15 yrs ? no not the worse loss because in reality are really a better team than PV? At this point - no. Now 2-3 years from now I certainly hope we are better
