For cheaper New Orleans Bowl tickets...

There is an event on the Friday before the game called "Dashing through the Dome", which is a 2-mile race through the Dome's concourses and finishes on the field.

The price of the race is $37.92, and it includes a ticket to the New Orleans Bowl (in the general admission section).

The even better deal is that if you buy a race ticket, you can purchase additional (up to 10) New Orleans Bowl tickets for $11.54 each.

I don't know which sections the general admission seats are, but I am guessing the terrace level (upper deck). (From the ticket site: Tickets to the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl obtained through your entry fee for the race are in the general admission seating area of the stadium and are not in proximity to either team’s ticket allotment. If you wish to sit in a participating team’s seating allotment, those tickets should be purchased directly from that school’s athletic department and would be additional to the ticket received as part of your entry fee in the race.)
