Peche downtown is incredible. Herbsaint, Cochon, & August are all also downtown & excellent. Cooter Browns at St. Charles & Carrollton Uptown is a great sports bar.

Frenchman Street in the mariny is where are the local live music fun is. Hang out all along Magazine street during the day for coffee houses and art.
Frenchman Street is two blocks north of Esplanade in the mariny district. Local jazz, local food, local art festivals. It's definitely the place to hang if u want out of the quarter but can still walk. And on the way home stop at THE PORT OF CALL on Esplanade for the best biggest burger of your life
Clyde, the Gold Mine cannot be stopped. But don't go until after midnight. Flaming Dr. Peppers encouraged..........
A few of us will be at the Rusty Nail in the Warehouse District if anyone wants to come by.
Also a heads up: They won't let you bring ice chests into Champions square for the tailgate. You can walk in with one in your hand (unless they change it for non-Saints games).

St. Charles and Girod. Excellent food, exceptional service. Had dinner there last week and it was outstanding. Pay attention to the wait staff when they tell you to NOT touch the plate though.
Butcher is Cochon's sandwich place right behind Cochon. Amazing sandwiches. Eat there all the time!
