Lincoln believed whites were superior to blacks; I guess we should probably get rid of his monument. While we are at it, Lee was the architect of the US Capitol ... I'm all for getting rid of that!

I think that's what I heard. I meant that I didn't think the lawsuit would matter. Once the PC train gets rolling common sense gets thrown out the window.

I bet there are some other monuments down there on men holding guns in their hands as ways to honor soldiers who died in war. Those type of statues further perpetuates the deadly gun culture in this country. We should tear down those statutes as well.

The name of the White House furthers the culture of white dominance in the United States. It should either be torn down or renamed the "Race Inclusive Residence."

The Washington monument is just one big white phallic symbol. It's racist and gender insensitive. Tear that sucker down!

Indiana should be changed to "Native Americana" so as to not be offensive.

Louis XIV of France allowed slavery during his reign. LSU should be shut down.

The LSU Tigers are named after the Louisiana Tigers in Robert E. Lee's Army of Northern Virginia. The Tiger name should be banned.

Yeppers, absolutely true. Major Wheat's Special Battalion, Louisiana Infantry, known as "Wheat's Tigers." Later all Louisiana troops serving in the Army of Northern Virginia were nicknamed "Tigers." And not just for their unwavering ability to kill Yankees, but also for their tendency to "party" while in camp!

We need to rename some Parishes while we're at it.

If we are to remove ALL such references, based on some modern-day misguided PC crapola, there wouldn't be much left. Have to resort to some kind of license plate numbering system. Our nation's capital could be renamed 0001A

    Re: On Confederate icons

See it for what it is, y'all. This has NOTHING to do with race, slavery, the Confederacy or any of that. This is an initial, bold step toward redistribution of wealth and power in this country. Think about it: the American SOUTH is really the last bastion of the ideals for which AMERICA was founded. Judeo-Christian principles of Faith, hard work, self reliance, power and love of God and Family. If you look at the liberal agenda, they're opposed to almost all of that because, those principles foster SMALLER GOVERNMENT, LESS DEPENDENCE, and those dastardly Judeo-Christian principles such as all lives including the unborn are sacred. Marriage being one man and one woman.

Parts of the USA have already flipped to this secular progressive movement: the Northeast, the west coast, and as northeastern Yankees have moved to Florida you're seeing it there too. But for the SOUTH...our beloved SOUTH...we're the last hold out. They can't pass their agenda when you have 13 or 15 states that are SOLID RED. So...what do you do? You start removing anything, everything, that the SOUTH looks to as symbols of the old ways. Dylan Roof's heinous crime was the spark...it cracked open the door...Haley Barbour and others walked right through. If they can remove all the symbols that generate CONVERSATION and THOUGHT about the Southern past, they can shape the minds of future Southern generations.

This is about dependency. This is about BIG government. This is about redistribution of wealth and power. It's about taking down the South. That's what we are battling.

    Re: On Confederate icons

General Patrick Cleburne was an Irish immigrant to America. He saw the evil forces of the "new world order" at work in Great Britain, and warned his new countrymen to be wary. He delivered a rousing speech to his troops the night before the desperate attack at Franklin, Tennessee. He said (paraphrasing) "they say they are fighting to end slavery....that is not true. They say they are trying to preserve the union, and that is not true. They have no desire to preserve this union, they want to remake it into something else. And make no mistake about it, their goals lay beyond the borders of this nation. Theirs is a world conquest..."

But, just as the evil libtards can't kill the spirit of the South by moving some tons of concrete, shaped into images of historic figures, they can not, and will not, kill the spirit of freedom. Good will triumph.

We could just make everything into districts like The Hunger Games.

If you forget history or try to re-write history, much-less to fit your own ideology, you a doomed to repeat it.

It also boils down to the PC crowd just not being very bright IQ wise as well as being very weak and emotionally fragile.
