Not always. Don't forget the "Ross Jenkins" years. Three (3) consecutive years (2008-2010) of below average QB play. He just couldn't stretch the field with a deep ball. We became a very predictable "screen pass only" offense.

My first impression of Higgins was at the Kansas game when he was a freshman. I thought he did well except for the fumble trying to reach the ball over the goal line. Dixon also fumbled about the five yard line. If it hadn't been for those two mistakes we would have won and I believe the whole season would have been better. I say right behind Higgins' father and uncle at that game.

Yep, you're dead on, and my wife and I sat right there with you. Long ass drive back to Fort Smith that night and S'port the next day.
