It wasn't a problem for them to hire him from us, but he'll be a terrible person in Starkville because he didn't stay there.

The hypocrisy is always abundant in these cases. It actually works the same for conferences, too. Remember when the Big East commissioner cried and cried about how horrible it was that another conference would invite schools to join (and thereby rob his conference) but then turned right around and gutted the original CUSA?
All very true. Another truth is that the MSUs of the world will be fine, but those affected by the trickle-down effect may have a harder time bouncing back. The lower down the pecking order you are, the worse it may be. P5-->G5-->Sunbelt (teehee)-->and so on...all the way to high school in some instances. But hey--there are plenty of fish in the coaching sea.

I believe they will. If Richt can get a good OC, the he and Diaz will definitely bring Miami back into the forefront (but in a non-thuggish way).

I would hate to see this. Also saw this morning that Joe Sloan applied for the HC position at ULM:

It doesn't sound like he got much attention, and you have to think Skip gave him the Asst. HC position to help him move up in the coaching world. This staff has a great chemistry, but Skip seems to know how to find new coaches, when necessary, who fit with his coaching family.

A decent list of applicants. I assume some of them may have answered honestly but wrongly when filling in the desired salary box.

That may be why there were only 35 applicants. I see Thommerdal (sp?) is ready to get back to Louisiana. We need to hire him for special teams.

Report: Tech loses two more assistants

Thayer Evans of Sports Illustrated reported Wednesday that Louisiana Tech running backs coach Jabbar Juluke is leaving the Bulldogs to take the same position at Texas Tech and cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator Ronnie Bradford is leaving for a job at USC.

Any progress on contracts for the next round of one-and-dones?

So if ur keeping track @ home, Louisiana Tech will have a new OC & new coaches @ QB, RB, DB, presumably at WRs and ST coordinator in 2016

Still making too big a deal out of the need for contracts.

Isabella's tweet is misleading at bests...

New OC - No loss with the old one
    QB Coach - Rattay...who's complaining?
RB Coach - That's a loss, but you don't sign contracts with position coaches
DB Coach - Not sure that was a loss
ST Coach - Certainly not a loss

Out of all of these coaching changes, I think the biggest hit is losing JJ's connections to HS coaches and recruits in S. Louisiana and NOLA.

He was good, but let's not forget that the guy who hired him is the guy who gave him all the credit. Holtz knows he has to replace these guys and there's NOTHING we can do about it.

I wonder if Cyril Crutchfield will be targeted as a replacement?

Ball State: A source tells us Johnny Curtis is leaving Louisiana high school football power John Curtis to join Mike Neu’s staff at Ball State.
