    Most Draft Picks by School

Michigan has 11 to win out this season over Bama. La Tech looks good with three. We had more draftees than: Kansas State, Texas Tech, Baylor, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, and West Virginia among others. Looking good in Ruston.

I definitely think that can be used in recruiting.

Holtz has been using the NFL as a recruiting tool and this year should only further that cause. We've been winning with meh recruiting classes so far, so imagine if we can get a good one. Hopefully we keep climbing!

Now I'd like to see a list just like this covering the last 2 (TWO) years. I'll bet LA Tech would move way up the list with 6 draftees over the last 2 years.

Re: Most Draft Picks by School

LA Tech also has had at least 2 NFL draftees each year for the past 4 years. We are averaging ~10% of our football classes getting drafted annually. Of course that percentage is even higher when you consider all of the undrafted free agent Dawgs getting signed as well.
The P5s (TCU, TX A&M, MS St, OK St,...) are definitely noticing this and spending more time in Louisiana recruiting.

    In 2016, Tech had 3 players drafted, as in 2017 ( http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...state-alabama- )

    #'s in both 2016 & 2017:
    1. 19 -Ohio State (12, 7)
    2. 17 -Alabama (7, 10)
    3. 15 -Clemson (9, 6)
    -Florida (7, 8)
    5. 14 -Michigan (3, 11)
    6. 13 -UCLA (8, 5)
    -LSU (5, 8)
    8. 11 -Miami, FL (2, 9)
    9. 9 -Notre Dame (7, 2)
    -Utah (1, 8)
    -USC (4, 5)
    -Ole Miss (5, 4)
    13. 8 -ArKansas (5, 3)
    -Oklahoma (4, 4)
    -Texas A&M (3, 5)
    16. 7 -Stanford (5, 2)
    -Washington (2, 5)
    - Michigan St (5, 2)
-Baylor (6,1) [interesting post scandal/allegation results]
    -West Virginia (5, 2)
    -California (4, 3)
    -Auburn (3, 4)
    23. 6 -Louisiana Tech (3,3)
    -Tennessee (0, 6)
    -North Carolina (0, 6)
    -Pittsburgh (1, 5)
    -Georgia (5,1)
    -Penn St (5, 1)
    -TCU (5, 1)
    -Florida St. (2, 4)
    -Virginia Tech (2, 4)
    -Houston (3, 3)
    -NC St (3, 3)
    -Temple (3, 3)
35-130 (FBS schools): 5 or less

So, Tech is in the top 23 of colleges with # of draft picks over the past 2 years, and is one of 34 schools with 6 or more draft picks over that span , a top 20% stat (i.e. 23/130 ~ 18%).

Note: the first post's link did not have Western Kentucky in 2017 (2 picks), so I validated with http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...-alabama-picks
