Lafayette, LA – In a stunning move this afternoon that could have repercussions throughout college athletics in the United States, UL-Lafayette administrators have confirmed that the University of Louisiana at Lafayette has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA. (excerpt)

I thought they were gonna sue cause the NCAA sanctioned Louisiana-Lafayette, not them..ur...their alter-ego...UL

A lot of facts in the article and got a good laugh out of it.
I agree with bringing the lawsuit against the ACT. Testing control is serious business and its pretty obvious their internal controls failed. Wonder if ULL offering to bring the suit is part of why the sanctions were as light as they were?
This isn't April 1.
It's time to close the doors to the Temple of Janus.
They contend the ACT hurt "UL's reputation". I think they can't measure the change.
On a serious note, it's interesting that ULL is suing ACT, especially considering it was ULL's employee that did the cheating. The ULL Athletic Director admitted in the News Star story that they have no evidence indicating anyone was paid at the ACT site, or that any ACT employees were involved. Will ULL also sue the former coach (Saunders?)??

They also announced if they win the lawsuit, they will build three more hay barns and call them athletic complexes. They will serve Dixie Beer, Abita Springs and Jax Beer to any supporter that will vow to only call them Louisiana in these hay barns that will be located in the space previously occupied by Cajun Field. A locally popular band will be hired to continually play "Jolie Blon" and "Chere Toot Toot". Patrons will be allowed to dance around with long necks without fear of punishment.
Cajun Field will be razed and moved to a site to be named later, and will be domed and totally air conditioned. The amenities will include the tractor shed type bathrooms that are so popular at the existing facility. There will be chicken wire put up around the stands to protect the visiting teams' players and coaches from flying objects. Other amenities will be announced later.
The administration of "Louisiana" will take the proceeds from the lawsuit and invest it in a proper manner, such as the above.
