Someone please explain how all these guys are signing BEFORE the Feb national signing date? I didn't think graduating early would do it.

The story I remember is that the grant-in-aid is not a binding agreement like the national letter of intent. The letter of intent keeps other coaches from poaching or continuing to recruit the player, but the grant-in-aid does not.

Please correct me if I am not wrong.
You are correct. Unless he signs a National Letter of Intent for Tech on February 3, Jack is free to go and play at any school he wants without penalty until he actually matriculates at Tech in March. He's not bound to Tech until he actually starts class. The grant-in-aid just means that Tech is required to give him a 1-year football scholarship if he chooses to enroll at Tech.

That's what I think, but the link from page 1, said LOI.
