Final......
Sounds like we played a good game.
No moral victories but I would not have believe this score would be that close three weeks ago.
We shot 50% for the game and scored more than any opponent against UTEP this year.
Only had 13 turnovers......
The BIG difference was their offensive rebounds. They only shot 38% for the game, but got a lot of second chances.
Who got ejected?
LeBlanc
In all the great teams we've had, there was always a dominate point guard. We don't have that right now. Pumroy is good, but not great. Anthony has tremendous potential, but needs a lot more coaching.
Having said that, we've come a long way and I am proud to support the Techsters. Wish I could attend the games.
There is never an excuse for a player getting kicked out of the game!!!! That being said when you have multiple technicals and kids get pushed to the point that they react the officials have lost control of the floor.
There is never an excuse for it and I am not defending anyone other than to say that the officials need to be reviewed by CUSA, and held accountable for allowing it to get to that point when athletes are penalized for officials lack of doing their job!!!
I really like Pumroy as a 2 guard. Anthony is going to be very good, but her body moves faster than her mind right now. She is improving every game, though - still just gets a little too fast and has some problems.
In other news, MTSU is beating WKU at the half and looking very good.
I said it above, but I like our chances against UTEP at the TAC and I like our chances in the CUSA tournament, if we can stay in the top 4, which I think we will. Should have two wins next week.
I watched the whole game and they did not show what happened, nor did the UTEP announcers know. In fact, they couldn't figure out if she was ejected or if Tyler sent her out. It was strange, but their announcers sucked anyway. UTEP got a Technical earlier. The refs were calling it pretty tight in the first half and UTEP was fouling a LOT. I thought sure they would have at least 3 foul out, but the refs lightened up in the second half. It was a weird game.
