McKennie denied on a great save after great corner kick service by Pulisic.
1-0 Canada after 45.
US had chances but didn't get good quality service except for the Pulisic corner.
Dos a cero not in a good way.
Lots of possession and no finishing. And that last goal allowed might loom large later on.
Panama is up on Jamaica late, 3-1. This is tightening up in the standings.
Honduras is a MUST win for us.
Jamaica pulled back a late goal, but Panama closed it out 3-2.
The match is still goalless in 55th minute at Azteca between Mexico and Costa Rica before 2,000 fans
USA barely hangs on to second place in the ocho as Mexico and Costa Rica don't bother the scorers. El Salvador leads 1-0 at Honduras after 45.

The two USA home matches (Wednesday vs Honduras and March 27 vs Panama) are both must-wins. Those wins would give USA a minimum 24 points.
Panama's other matches are at Mexico Wednesday, home vs Honduras on March 24, and home vs Canada on March 30. If Panama loses to USA, it must get a win and a draw against Mexico and Canada and beat Honduras to get to 24 points. And USA has a 4-goal lead in goal differential now.
This team is not very good. USMNT has regressed and I say that even after coming off the best calendar year (record-wise) in USMNT history. There is only one goal, a goal we have a legit shot at, and that is the mediocre accomplishment of qualifying for the WC Finals out of CONCACAF. Once in Qatar we will be little more than cannon fodder.
Yep, gotta win those two home matches.
US 3 Honduras 0
Took care of business. Now head into the toughest window of the qualifying, road games at Mexico and Costa Rica, and home to a very good, and still alive Panama side. Beating Panama punches our ticket to Qatar. Still want a point, at least, at Mexico and CR.
As for the game...
I have been singing the praises of McKennie and Zimmerman and both stepped up huge tonight. I have been lukewarm on Acosta, but he played a big game tonight, couple of assists but more importantly was his defense in the midfield. Yeah, it was just Honduras a team without much to play for but play after play Acosta was controlling the midfield. I also like De La Torre...a lot! His energy, his attacking style put tons of pressure on Honduras. Weah had a big night, has so much talent, just needs to finish. Pepi? Hmmm....
Berhalter said we have been awful in the attacking 1/3 and spent the past two days working on that in practice. Yet! against the last place team this round of WC qualifying we scored exactly ZERO goals in the run of play. If we can't score against downtrodden Honduras, then....
Just started the second half at Azteca.
Mexico scores but VAR correctly overruled that a clear goal kick should have been awarded before the goal was scored.

USWNT wins SheBelieves Cup with 5-0 win over Iceland. Played mostly youngsters for the tourney. Three straight clean sheets, also played Czech Republic and New Zealand.
For the Men's team, bad news. Winston McKennie will miss remaining WC qualifiers with a foot injury.
