Louisiana Tech is entering Year No. 2 under head coach Greg Goff with the 2016 baseball season set to get underway this weekend as the Bulldogs head south to the Big Easy to compete in three games at the Major League Baseball Urban Invitational, which is hosted by the New Orleans Privateers.

Tech wins 15-0 in 7 innings. Game called by mutual agreement (and TV's agreement) after 3 hours.
Player of the Game was catcher Brent Diaz. He was 3 of 3 at the plate, 2 RBI, 1 run scored.

Louisiana Tech needed just seven innings to move to 2-0 on the season Saturday as the Bulldogs run-ruled Southern, 15-0, in the second game of the MLB Urban Invitational at Wesley Barrow Stadium in New Orleans.
