I am wondering if this will create a loophole that could in essence give us 14 scholarship quality players next year. IF slim is unable to play, do they give a scholarship to someone new and still have Quidar or does Quidar take the Slim spot?

I'm hoping Qiydar will be back next season. Qiydar proved last year that he's able to play at a very high level. Unfortunately, this season was cut short due to his injury. He only played in 7 games this season, but he led the team in rebounding 3 of those games and in scoring 1 game. He averaged 10.6 points a game for the 7 games and was 24 of 28 from the line (85.7%). He averaged 6.7 rebounds a game. He also brings a high level of energy to the floor.

It's my understanding that he can qualify for a medical redshirt if his season was cut short by injury and he did not participate in more than 30% of the games. With us having at least 32 games this season, he should qualify.

In press conference Coach said that Qiydar wanted to stay even though there was no scholarship available. Also said that he would be eligible based on games played, but there was a lot of paper work to be completed. Doctor's statements, etc.

Sounded hopeful that Mr. Davis would be back.
