After knocking off two nationally-ranked teams in the span of a week, Louisiana Tech (6-2) returns to Ruston looking to continue its winning ways as the Bulldogs are set to host Valparaiso (2-6) in a three-game home series beginning at 6 p.m. Friday at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston.

Wonder if Goff will sit Clancy on this one. It wont end well with him pitching like this every game.
Saving him for LSU next Wednesday?
Clancy has started one game a week thus far and will continue. I expect him to start against LSU this coming week then may not see him other than maybe in relief vs Corpus Christi (Could Start Sunday game for 2-3 innings) until conference starts against UAB. I expect our weekend starters to be Friday: Clancy Saturday: Diehl Sunday: Bristo. Bristo could move to Saturdays if they want to break up the lefties but Clancy and Diehl seem to be different pitchers. We need a 4th guy to step up for mid week games starting with Alcorn St. We have some good midweek competition this season during conference play. We will need someone to pitch well!
I think Diehl's going to be our star, but Clancy is looking great and doing us proud! I believe we can thank Coach Goff for both of them as he signed Clancy and Diehl was considering going elsewhere until Goff and staff gave him the hard sell. Linck may wind up being the other weekend guy. IMO, Goff pulled him a little too quickly last week, but I realize it's a little easier to coach from the cheap seats!
Yes sir, that is a fact. I heard they flew to Cincinnati to talk him into staying. Hopefully, he will stay his senior year next year as well. Following this team has been a lot of fun thus far. I can not wait next week to wear my blue at LSU, been wanting to do that for many years now...
