Watching on TV is not the same as being in the arena.

I've been going to the tournament for years and have always enjoyed the hospitality of the host fans at every site, with only one exception. If the Birmingham fans are not any friendlier this year than they were last year, this will be my last trip to Birmingham for a tournament. I'll start watching on TV. My money will be spent elsewhere.

I complained a lot about the lack of friendliness last year. I have talked to a couple of Tech people who are not returning this year because they thought the UAB fans were rude. It was not just Tech fans who complained, the UAB fans and tournament staff were not friendly to fans of any other teams.

It's time for C-USA to pick a neutral tournament site for the first time in history.

Yes. While I have loved the easy commute for selfish reasons (looking forward to taking my kids this week), it would be nice to not face such an unreasonable home court advantage. At least not two years in a row...

Yup, it needs to be at a neutral site (which I think Frisco/Allen would be perfect). I'm tired of it being a C-UAB tournament.

I still don't understand why UNT and Tech don't co-sponsor this! The alternative is another campus site, then this will always be crap for us.
