Just found this guys stuff and have been waiting for the C-UAB rankings to come out today. Alex leads the pack, of course, with 6.01 WAR.

That was awesome! No surprises from our team. I didn't see Joniah so I wonder what the minimum games played was to qualify.
That stat validates Alex's well-deserved selection as C-USA POY.
But it is a scary sign for Year 2 of the Konkol era. Our entire offense revolved around Alex scoring, penetrating, and passing. I don't think this year was as much a rebuilding year as next year will be without the best player in C-USA.
Certainly one of the best, but UAB returns almost everybody. The biggest difference between Alex and McCree is that Alex is a guard, and McCree is a forward. We were able to run everything through Alex this year, but we won't be able to run everything through McCree next year.
You may be right, I'm certainly not saying you are incorrect, but we lose only Alex from a 23 win team. 4 good freshmen are entering, if we stay healthy it is easy to say that we could win more games next year. I think our guys relied too much on Alex to make a play and that showed up against teams who could keep him from getting inside. With an offense more predicated on ball movement instead of one guy getting everyone shots, I think we could be very very dangerous.
