    Tax Proposal

No, not a "tax" proposal, a FUNDING proposal.

In a nutshell, here it tis. There will be NO taxes at all. No income tax, sales tax, property tax, tax on gasoline at the pump....none, zippo! No taxes at all.

Instead, the guvmint will put together a budget to fund all that stuff, like public Ed, welfare, healthcare, highways and other infrastructure, etc... Every month each of us will get a request from the state (gonna focus on the state first). It'll be an itemized bill, but a voluntary one. Let's say the state budget is $5 billion for welfare, for instance. That's about $1200 per person, annually, not just adults, but per person. You write in the amount you will pay next to that item. You can pay your share, the $100 a month, or some other amount from $0 to whatever. Do that with every budget item in the state budget.

In this way, the people will vote with their pocket books and clearly show what we want and what we don't want. Some line items might get funded, to a point, while others may lag way behind. Some might get overly funded! Who knows? Regardless, if, for instance welfare garners all of maybe $1 million then that is ALL the state has to spend on that for the fiscal year. In this way, the libtards can rally behind all those programs they scream about and PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTHS ARE.

Now, some of you are thinking, D80, this won't work. Too many people will choose $0 or some very small token amount and many of the items will not get funded! OMG! Well...then maybe those items are TRULY not important to "we the people." Oh yeah, all those programs are SO IMPORTANT, as long as someone else pays for 'em, right?

    Re: Tax Proposal

Oh, obviously, since my plan is a per person plan, if you're a household of 4, then your monthly share of the welfare bill will be $400/month. You have to pay your kids' portions too.
