Just watched the highlights. MTSU wold pass/dribble up close to the basket and take shots instead of just shooting from the three point line. Must be some new strategy.

Louisiana Tech needs to hire the coach that is teaching the SFA players how to rebound. Comparing a good rebounding team to Tech's awful rebounding really amazes me that Tech was able to do as well as they did.
Can we put Major/mid-major crap to rest now?
Actually the 3 or the reliance on it, won them the ball game...
They shot lights our from behind the arc
Guard play has dominated the tourney so far and will continue to do so
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
Sigh, and we beat the MUTS...it could have been us. BUT I think today it proves Jay Bil-ass wrong. There is more parity than you think. The CUSA, Sun Belt, and even the Southland Champ embarrassed the P5. This is what a TRUE NCAA championship is about.
Cinderella lives one more week, and here's hoping MTSU beats 'Cuse and gets us more credits and more press for the conference.
One day we're going to make the tournament. One day..
Absolutely disappointing to have the decades long absence of our Dogs from the tournament. Our basketball team even when they are good has not exhibited the heart and want to at the times to get them to where they want to go....like the teams we saw win today with the big upset. No way MTSU should have been seeded 15 though.
No doubt about their great 3 point shooting. However, they also held their own vs MSU's big inside game. That is something we have not been able to do for many years, not just this season. With a healthy center I have no doubt we would have won the CUSA tournament, instead we watched opponents make layup, after layup, after layup (and 1 free throw also many times).
As usual, we have very good guards. One day we will have an inside game as well, and finally COMPLETE our team again.
Last time Tech's MBB was TRULY good, we had two bigs: Malone and Simmons. But, more importantly we had the best coach in Tech history. Don't take my word for it. Just watch replays of that team. Some of you, who have never seen REAL basketball played, and most of you young guys probably haven't, will be amazed at what it looks like. In fact, you might be angry with what you are forced to watch now.
Our Malone-era team would mop the floor with these latest versions.
