Rhythm is definitely important which is why most coaches set up a 1-4 pitching lineup and stick with it until it fails. I think everyone can agree that Clancy is your ace and one's ace normally throws on Friday to give the team the best chance to get a much-needed first win in a typical weekend series. Clancy threw 3 games in 12 days to start the season with an average pitch count of 93 (including 107 thrown against the Cajuns in his 2nd game). That's pretty stout and pretty risky as well. That was my point.

Of course not. We are in conference play now.
Same goes for the guy y'all started against us who won't be starting mid week games anymore.
We won't start a weekend guy against Lafayette when we play them later in the year.
Sunday game: Tech has retaken the lead 5-4 in the top of the 8th.
However, UAB's best two batters will start the bottom of the inning off. Coach Goff was tossed earlier in about the 4th inning.
