Baseball. LA Tech Powers Past ULM in 7-1 Victory

I think alot of times we have perception vs reality. For example Nick is ulm pbp so Nick is a ulm homer to the tech folks. To ulm fans he isnt homer enough. I went out of my way on purpose yesterday to not mention the R word because i knew one way or another someone was going to post on here that we were trying to build it up. Truth cap on, I hate doing the show outside the studio so when we do of course we try and make it feel like a big deal. I dont care about sofball that much but we tried to make the LSU TECH softball game feel big because we were there. It could have been the 8 year old ruston vs Monroe little league teams yesterday and we would have tried to make it feel like a big deal. Im on record for not caring either way if they play.

You do a great job Sean, and that post is spot on. The only thing I will argue about basketball is that yes Richard has won 20 games two years in a row after APR issues, but people discount how he put Tech in all those APR issues before he left and Rupp came in.

The local media (all of them) fail to recall that Rupp had 9 players on the roster the year after Richard was at Tech.

Richard had 13 players on his roster in his first two years at ulm. He was down to 11 in year 3.

Saying all that, Rupp was a mistake given to us by Karl Malone.

In the New-Star sports section today, there was a big article about Ben Sheets being recognized at the game last night, and how it was fitting that he was honored at a game vs. Tech because he struck out a bunch of bulldogs almost 20 years ago. However, there was no mention anywhere in the print edition about details from last night's game...not even the score.

In defense of TNS, they have to go to print at 6:00PM in order to be able to throw the papers by 8:00AM the following day.

Seriously, this game would have been big news had the chicken hawks won.
