the Brock Berlin / Stevie Lee / Philip Geigger ECA teams would crush anyone else in this poll.
Easily.

ECA would not stay within 2 TD's of the '90 Ruston team. I think that I read an article in the Advocate a few years ago where it is also considered the best team ever to play in Louisiana.
I was talking with one of our local sports media celebrities yesterday and this subject came up - the first team that came to my mind was 1990 Ruston.
WM has a great tradition since the early 90s but none of their teams are better than:
Ruston 90
Bastrop 07
ECA - multiple
JC - multiple
Again, WM has a great system in place but the 90 Ruston team would dominate any WM team of the past 20 years - easily.
Also, over time, the 8 State Championships that Ruston has is pretty impressive.
Last night had #27 Sol Graves. Man I'm getting old! Seems like just yesterday...
Got the heads up on who #26 was going to be. Our very own Larry Anderson!
The 90 Ruston team had 7 1st team all state players. I believe this record still stands. They defeated Catholic 52-10 in the championship.
Man he was rock solid, im really enjoying watching this. BTW for those who missed our show yesterday the phones were ringing off the hook for best teams over the last 30 years. We are going to take more votes today, then based off votes we will do seeding and have a bracket style playoff with a small school and large school bracket. We will also talk to former coaches and players to help"SELL" their team. Lot of fun.
According to yesterday's calls, it goes like this:
WM 98 and not even cloese
Bastrop 06
Ouachita 89
Neville 95
Evangel 99
Ruston 90
Wm 2000
Bastop 07
Evangel 02
Neville 82
Wossman 86
Small Schools;
Haynesville 94
Haynesville 2000
OCS 97
Oak Grove 99
Winnfield 82
J-Hodge 86
Farmerville 01
OCS 00
I am sure that the Ruston '90 team didn't get as much love on the show because it was almost 20 years ago. The most recent always get more play.
As far as small schools go, the '88 and'89 teams at Jonesboro-Hodge were pretty stout.
