Serious consequences start taking a toll when felonies are committed. I don't believe fans are "casting stones" when they think it is better if we don't associate with felons. I'm not sure what background causes a young man to want to be a killer, but second (or more) chances should not be dolled out by an institution already responsible and well known for being giving and caring to it's student athletes.
Our coaches are not living in a vacuum. They knew they were taking a big chance.
I just don't think he rates a scholarship. I agree he can get his act together if he chooses to. He needs to start that journey somewhere other than at an institution of higher learning.
I also don't see how we didn't detect that flaw in this kid.
