Baseball. LA Tech Set for Midweek Games versus McNeese, at #14 ULL

A busy week awaits the Bulldogs as Louisiana Tech gears up to play five games in a span of six days with LA Tech set to wrap up an eight-game home stretch Tuesday when the Diamond ’Dogs play hosts to McNeese State in midweek action at 6 p.m. at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston.

After 5 complete innings tonight... Dawgs 6 - McNeese 3
We gave up 4 runs in the top of the 7th, but scored 3 in the bottom to retake the lead. Dawgs 9 - McNeese 7

Why do we have a guy calling our games who is not a fan of LaTech?

We definitely have ourselves a standout head baseball coach, staff and some great, solid team players.

Its good to see pitching that makes sense, pinch hitting that makes sense, solid fundamentals baseball, trying to win OOC games instead of only conference games,... We had none of this when Slimtoneaux was here.
It didn't appear that he gave a rip about midweek games. It's one thing I disliked about his coaching and pitching selection.
I never cared for Sim. But, man Oh man, did I ever catch grief on the BB&B when I dared to criticize him. My favorite was the argument that he was building something here just because he turned a wrench and helped install new seats at the Love Shack! I said, great, put him in charge of facilities and hire a real baseball coach. On that latter, I think we finally did.

Good win! We are 11 games over .500 now. RPI is now at 66.
Why were our OOC baseball games taken off the radio and our HOFer removed from behind the mic?

Woo Hoo!! Now if we can get 2 of 3 at UTSA that will put us in great position for the home stretch. Looking forward to making the ULM game and the Friday/Saturday game against MTSU. Go DAWGZ!!
