La Tech lost a true friend and Alum today

I am sad to inform all of the friends of La Tech University (and rivals) that we have lost a great supporter, contributor, and alumni of Louisiana Tech University.

Duane Cloud of Minden passed away this morning leaving a remarkable legacy of servant leadership for his family and his community enriching the lives of everyone he touched. He was a phenomenal steward of his faith and was always humble in character. Please join me in passing our condolences on to his family.

Oh by the way, he hasn’t seen his wife Marty in a while…I think they are both going out on a date together tonight!

He was a great guy for sure. Excellent CPA & businessman. Tutored math to middle schoolers for years after he retired. A good Christian man.

And yes, you're probably right. They were an example of what "man and wife" are supposed to be. Rest in peace, Mr Cloud.
