ASN stand alone channel distribution is growing

ASN's distribution is growing. I wish we could get a Monroe & Shreveport station to pick it up. All but one station is owner or operated by Sinclair Broadcasting (which we don't have any in N LA). I sent an e-mail asking about cost of acquiring the channel for us locally. If we could generate some advertising dollars for the channel, a local station might pick it up if they have room.

Also, ASN should try to get on some of the streaming cable service - Sling, Playstation Vue, or the new service coming out from DirecTV, Hulu, etc.

As you know, lack of coverage complaints to the AD's office are always met with, "Learfield is responsible for all media rights"

That was until CW in Monroe finally picked up football last year after a few of our fans wore out KNOE, ASN, Sinclair, etc.. It was then that our AD and his side kick took full credit for all the hard work.

I guarantee you I had more conversations with KNOE and ASN than anybody in our admin, and I don't even live in the Monroe market. BTW Laura Long is a liar and no friend of Tech. George Sirven? He's good to Tech.

Our lone televised home baseball game is tomorrow on ASN. You think anybody at Tech tried to get it distributed to any of our regional markets?

LA Tech desperately needs a media/broadcast network team that knows what they are doing and can be held accountable by the rest of us. I know, I know.....I'll go ahead and call myself "Captain Obvious".

It's sad that we have to do the job of the SID and AD in some cases. Oh and marketing for the baseball team this year on campus, other than the schedule posters. NONE. Truly, the admin must not care about furthering the brand. Like I've said before I drove around campus and Other than the sheets on the front porch of the sorority houses, no one would have known it was homecoming week. Usually doing a poor job gets one fired, not at THE TECH.
