Baseball. @LATechBSB Set for Home-and-Home Series with Northwestern State

NWST series
We've got a huge series at Southern Miss on deck, but we better not overlook the Demons. It's always the biggest game of the year in Natchitoches. We need the sweep. NWST has a top 50 RPI right now, and we need these two wins for our at-large hopes.
Goff said Bristo is starting on Tuesday night in Natchitoches. Go Dawgs!

I've mentioned several times how importnat the NSU games are. I just didn't think they were "thread worthy".
Don't worry about us fans over looking NSU. Most of us are focused.

Well according to the radio over here in Shreveport, this is a huge rivalry game. And there's also a big rivalry between Ruston and Natchitoches. And Tech wishes they could have NWST's athletic programs. And Tech is no better than anybody else in the state. There's no difference except that Tech gets a few more football scholarships. But NWST gets to play for a football national championship while Tech plays for meaningless New Orleans Bowl rings that nobody cares about. Tech and NWST should play the State Fair Game in Shreveport again. And we should all play in the same conference. NWST guarantees Tech the biggest crowd of the year in every sport. It's what the fans want. Yet Tech won't schedule NWST. And Tech needs to get over its elitist attitude. <---- All things said by "know your place" Shreveport sports radio hosts today. Listening on ALL Access made it sound like a good Tech crowd. It was loud when Tech did something positive. Granted there could have been 5 people next to the mic so who knows...

Crickets, of course. Same as in Monroe after we beat ULM every time. It was funny because somebody texted in to Fletch that Tech beat his "beloved Demons" so he'd mention it on air. Then he and his NLU co-host got really defensive. I got a good chuckle. Fletch's show used to be good, but it has gown down hill. It's LSU and SEC overload, and since NWST became a sponsor of his show, Tech talk has dwindled to basically one 12-minute segment per week most weeks unless Tech fans call in. He builds up NWST all the time now that they are paying part of his salary even though I've never heard anybody call in to talk about the Demons.
Let me be clear. Those were things said by Patrick Netherton (one of the biggest Tech haters in the world) on Ben Mintz's afternoon show, and Mintz just kept agreeing with everything he said. I turned off Netherton during his first show and will never listen again, and I'm also done with Mintz's show now.
