Well according to the radio over here in Shreveport, this is a huge rivalry game. And there's also a big rivalry between Ruston and Natchitoches. And Tech wishes they could have NWST's athletic programs. And Tech is no better than anybody else in the state. There's no difference except that Tech gets a few more football scholarships. But NWST gets to play for a football national championship while Tech plays for meaningless New Orleans Bowl rings that nobody cares about. Tech and NWST should play the State Fair Game in Shreveport again. And we should all play in the same conference. NWST guarantees Tech the biggest crowd of the year in every sport. It's what the fans want. Yet Tech won't schedule NWST. And Tech needs to get over its elitist attitude. <---- All things said by "know your place" Shreveport sports radio hosts today. The jealousy runs deep.
