I hate the set-up for us this season. How many times are we going to have to play Rice before this is all said and done?

Now is the time to play Rice. They're on a 5 game losing streak after giving up 60 runs in their last 5 games.

Is there a way to watch the CUSA tournament without buying a monthly subscription to CUSA DN? WatchESPN seemingly has every other conference tourney besides CUSA...

For RPI purposes, we need to beat Rice & hope FAU wins. Then hope Rice beats charlotte. We don't want to play them and their 150+ rpi. I know we are "solidly" in NCAAs, but I don't want to take any chances.

Tournament has 2 brackets - seeds 1, 4, 5, 8 in one and seeds 2, 3, 6, 7 in the other. The winner of each double elimination bracket advances to the single-elimination championship game that will be televised by CBS Sports.

This is how the CWS is set up (except the championship is a best-of-3 series). I don't like it or understand it. Seventy-five percent of the field will not play one another. I liked it much better when it was a true, 8-team, double-elimination bracket. Have an undefeated team out of the winners' bracket and a team from the losers' bracket that has to win twice in other to be crowned champion!

I sure do agree with this. It was very fun watching teams work their way through the loser's bracket. Playing everyday, using their bullpen, scraping for any advantage.

Yes -

And all teams should make the field - in a true double-elimination tourney it gives the stronger teams the advantage in the first round games

I think they destroyed the mystique of the CWS when they went away from the true double elimination format
