With the loss tonight against Rice, we dropped from 30 to 32. Rice improved from 28 to 21 with the win. USM currently at 18 and FAU at 28. That's 4 C-USA teams deserving of a tournament bid. Will the committee award C-USA that many?
I can't imagine a scenario where we don't get in. but i think it is as a 3 seed.
HoDo is correct in that Rice moved up 7 spots in the RPI with the win tonight. By the end of the night, they had dropped one to 22. At this point, it appears the winner of the Rice-USM game on Sunday will be in line to host a Regional. If things break right with other conference tournaments on Sunday, both may host.
Help me out here. In the big scheme of things, what is the difference in being seeded a 2 or 3 since #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3 in the first round of each region. Are #2 seeds given precedence when it comes to the location of the region they would play in? Just curious.

Main advantage is #2 seeds get to bat last when playing #3 seeds.
As far as 4 C-USA seeds making the tourney, I agree that all 4 will make it. However, I was convinced that only 4 would make it. That's why I was thought it was so important for Marshall to be eliminated.
