In Remembrance this Memorial Day

I lost two good buddies in VietNam. One was a Tech Bulldog that ran out of money and joined the Army, became a medic and was killed assisting wounded soldiers. Roger Denny was only 22 when he died. He was awarded the Silver Star for his bravery.

The other was a kid I grew up with: Michael Varnado. He was a WO1 Huey copter pilot shot down and captured in Cambodia. He died in captivity.

Let us all remember those that gave all so we could enjoy all the freedoms we have. He was only 21 when he died.

I knew others that died in that unpopular war, and I salute them as well.
