Despite hanging around the top 25 in the rpi for weeks, it appears Florida Atlantic did not submit a bid to host.
Florida Atlantic is actually the No. 1 seed in the projection for the Long Beach Regional but the Owls didn't submit a bid to host a Regional, so this scenario is entirely possible – and something Pierce even thinks could happen.

You'll face that anywhere you go, but it would probably be a lot worse there. I would imagine there would be some "external pressure" applied. But wouldn't it be so sweet to win a regional in Baton Rouge? My Facebook friends list would be cut in half overnight lol
