I understand the idea you have to win game 2 to get to game 3. That said, from what we've seen of Cal State and Miss State--there is a slight chance of beating either of their 3rd starters without pitching Sutton. Seems like the likelihood of beating SEMO without Sutton is much greater. I suppose it would be nice to win at least one game in the tournament. But I'd roll the dice for better odds of winning more than one.

Exactly, since we've already lost one game I'm looking for what strategy can take us the furthest. Not much difference to me in losing game 2 or 3.

Normally I would agree, but like I said, we've already lost a game so what have I got to lose. Saving Sutton gives us a better chance to go further IF we beat SEMO. I admit I'm gambling, thus my reference to rolling the dice.��

It is looking like it may rain across the south for a good while....enough that it will effect available pitchers in the super regionals next weekend possibly.

Sure did. He threw 122 pitches today, which is outstanding. That took a lot of pressure off the bullpen, and gave most of our pitching staff an extra day of rest.
