Honestly I think it's the equivalent of the pool of death in soccer...
Pitching in post season baseball just like guard play in post season basketball is the key -
If our pitchers throw strikes and we don't boot the ball around the infield and give them extra outs we've got a chance to make some noise in the regional and possibly get to the Super Regional
Need quality starts cause a hot harm can get you beat 1-0 or 3-2 in a regional on most days

Any idea on why the committee gave them a 2 seed and then made them travel across the country? Seems like we were treated better than they were.

MissState is a national #6 seed so Fullerton must be #27 and Tech would be #38.

Based on that, I think Ho-Do has been right to be worried about CUSA getting four bids. Looks like Tech wasn't in the tournament until after the FAU win or even the Rice win. I bet it was because Tech finished 5th in conference, Tech had to show they belonged with a very strong conference tournament showing. It was close!
I think we are a very strong 3 seed, with Cal State being a weak 2 seed. Reason they got the 2 in my opinion, is because no teams out west got to host, therefore the committee felt the need to somewhat please them.

Yes I believe so. Utah won the PAC-12 with a 25-27 overall record and got a 4 seed.
I wanted to mention something regarding our pitching...
We are a great team to foul off third strikes. We do it much more than most teams and it pays off for us.
Rice and FAU were probably better at it than us.
Saying this to say our pitchers facing Rice and FAU in 3 games were worn out just as Rice's pitchers were worn out.
I think Rice, FAU, and USM are a much tougher crew to beat than those we face in Starkville.
I agree with this completely. Coach Goff keeps a stat of how long his hitters can keep an at bat going once they get two strikes. They strive to be tough outs, while not striking out. This also drives up pitch counts, which gets into bullpens quicker. Excellent two strike approach.
We can't get picked off once on the bases. We lead the conference tourney in errors and I bet led it in runners being picked off. If we can cut down on both and our bats stay hot, we can make a run. I wonder if he is going to go with Diehl on Friday or Sutton...Sutton is our #1 guy for sure.

We get HUGE leads at first and it has allowed us to steal a lot of bases. Getting picked off at second by a throw from the catcher = napping.
My guess is Diehl Friday and Sutton Saturday.

I agree with this, If we can cut down on the errors, scored and unscored, we will be okay. Need to get rid of the base-running errors, wild pitches, past balls and misplays scored as hits,
