That picture reminds me of the guy that was taking tickets last night at the right-field entrance. They only had two teeth, his canines. Don't know if you just let them rot out or if he did that intentionally to try to imitate a bulldog. Needless to say corn on the cob is not on his list of preferred Foods
He hasn't. It's against the terms of his NWST sponsorship to jump on the Tech Trolley. Tech talk dwindled significantly after NWST started writing him a check and is pretty much relegated to one 12-minute segment on Tuesdays. Now we get to hear LSU/SEC overload with riveting interviews with NWST women's javelin throwers. BTW a couple days ago his co-host said that Tech's biggest athletics accomplishment in the last 15 years was turning down the Indy Bowl.
He actually had a great interview with Coach Goff on Wednesday morning. The same LSU moronic groupies who call into his show are the same ones who have been calling into Sports Talk shows in this area for years. It hasn't helped that some Tech coaches and other athletic admins have actually missed some times they are supposed to call into the show the last few years. It would also help if you could hear Tech sports on a station that can be heard from at least the east side of Bossier to the west side of Shreveport. There isn't one - thanks Learfield!
'06 said it was Fletcher's co-host who made the nutty statement, not a call in lsu homer.
Our AD's boy wonder WBB hire is the one who kept sleeping in for interviews. Not sure which Admins have missed interviews.
Our AD is also responsible for getting Learfield off their butt.
I did hear the remark and i'm not sure if Hester is an actual co-host but he seems to have taken on the role at times. He is an LSU hack (Jacob Hester's brother). I'm not defending or praising Fletcher, I just think that overall he has been fair to Tech, especially on a station that bill's itself as "1130 The Tiger". He also, like all of us, talks about the potential and dominance of La Tech in north La especially in sports such as baseball and basketball and constantly talks about how Tech and other schools often overlook great high school athletes in our area. I have my criticisms of his show because I do think that it tends to get stale with the same old callers but that tends to be the case with a lot of talk shows.
If you want to see the local media not happy with LSU then you should have seen the reaction of nearly all of them this past week when LSU came to town and had their Satellite Camp in Bossier City. The press showed up in mass and then were not allowed in and had to film everything from the street or the through the bars of the fence. They basically stood out in the rain and I think they finally got to talk to Miles afterward. The KSLA Channel 12 guy was pissed and said so on the air that night (Salty is the word he said). Fletcher talked about it also on his show. They even had some media that came up from south La to cover it and they escorted them off the field before it started. I'm sure they will all get over it but they were literally a bunch of wet dogs kicked to the street after they had promoted and promoted the event. Not happy.

With all the action he was getting he was probably tired
