Tennessee has 6 RBs on their 2017 roster (4 of which are only sophomores) plus 3 RB commitments in this recruiting class. That's 9 guys competing for playing time now and you know they'll sign another 3-4 "All-Everything" RBs next year. That's gonna be an awfully crowded backfield.

If Coleman is smart he'll go to LA Tech and put himself in the NFL within 4 years.

Trey Coleman would round out this class perfectly. I think he is our top target to finish the class

Did LaTech recruit him? Or was he wanting a change of scenery and not even consider staying around home?

Just an FYI....last year's big flipper for Tech--QB Keondre Wudtee, from Bossier City-- might soon find things getting crowded at Ok St. Currently OSU has a great junior QB, Mason Rudolph, from South Carolina, who has thrown for over 3,770 yards in EACH of the last 2 years. The OSU coaches are very pleased with Rudolph, calling him "as good as any QB we've ever had at OSU". OSU also has 2 sophomore QB's and 4 freshmen QB's (including Wudtee) on their current 2016 roster. All are 6'4" or taller, save for one QB who is "only" 6'2".

In the 2017 recruiting class, OSU's biggest commits so far are 6'7", 230 lb "dual threat" QB Jelani Woods, from Cedar Grove, Ellenwood, GA, and Ft Worth, TX dual threat QB Tracin Wallace. OSU's coaches are very excited about Woods, who was expected to be a South Carolina commit, but he flipped after a visit to Stillwater. And on Nov 29th, OSU offered LSU QB commit Myles Brennan (6-3, 180), of Bay St Louis, MS. Apparently Brennan is not completely happy with the recent LSU coaching change. 247 sports says OSU now has the best chance of signing Brennan.

So that's 10 QB's that could be on OSU's roster next season.

Update on former LA Tech commit/decommit Keondre Wudtee, from Bossier City: I was watching OSU's stunning victory over #6 Texas tonight, and it got me wondering whatever happened to Keondre Wudtee. Well, it turns out Wudtee is not playing much football in Stillwater. He's still riding the bench as a Red Shirt Sophomore (3rd year player) behind 5th yr senior (and former walk-on) Taylor Cornelius. Cornelius is a bonafide star, and literally won the Texas game tonight with some outstanding runs in the 4t Qtr. Furthermore, Wudtee now finds himself at #4 on the OSU QB depth chart. In addition to playing behind Cornelius, Wudtee is also behind Hawaii senior transfer Dru Brown, and Freshman standout Spencer Sanders, from Denton, TX.

The first link below has a story quoting OSU coach Mike Gundy saying Dru Brown is the clear #2 on OSU's dept chart, and that the Cowboys are redshirting Brown this year so he can be next year's starting QB. And the news gets even worse for Wudtee. According to this same article, Spencer, currently the #3 QB, is considered OSU's future!!

Want to put in a plug for Rummel WR Koy Moore. This kid is the real deal. Presently he's a verbal commitment to the USC Trojans, but my sources say he's starting to change his mind and wants to stay close to home. Of course everyone automatically assumes that would mean LSU. Former Rummel WR Jamar Chase switched from Florida to LSU, and many think Moore will follow him to BR. But, my sources also tell me that Moore is not too keen on LSU, which is why he rebuked them in the first place and chose USC.

Moore is a 5-star talent. EVERY program in the nation would sign him yesterday, given a chance! He's the kind of talent Tech should go after. Yeah, I know what many will say, he's 5-star talent, every school wants him...what chance does Tech have? None! if we don't approach him, and others like him. Our marketing strategy for kids like this should be: you will start in your freshman year. You will get every opportunity to put up Video Game type numbers. You will be drafted high in the NFL draft.

I read an article about 6 months back about the wealth of talent that leaves Louisiana every year. It's mind boggling. If LSU doesn't sign 'em, the rest of the 5-star and 4-star talent goes out of state. Be bold. Go straight to these kids, and their parents who usually have a huge influence on their decision-making, and tout the virtues of coming to Tech.

247 still has him listed as a 4 star with a hard commit to USC. The good news is his recruiter is Tee Martin, who as of Monday is USC's offensive coordinator in name only. He was stripped of play calling duties effective immediately. Interestingly enough this guy only has 12 offers and we are not one of them. If he is indeed in play, we need to get moving. Makes you wonder if anyone in Ruston is following the developments relating to him. Or maybe we are flying under the radar here and this will be a signing day coup.

Typical good ole steady Skipper. He usually hangs on to his commitments and never pulls a coup. It’s so boring and predictable I don’t follow recruiting except for threads on bbb.
