I agree with 80's statement. Without a KD our qb needs to be better than "fine".

Higgins has to knock off the boneheaded INTs. If he can avoid those, he'll become a good QB. If not, then he's just not meant to play the position at a level higher than what we've already seen.
Yes, it's the turnovers that kill. You don't have to have an All conference QB to win this league and a bowl game if you can run the ball, have a controlled, high-percentage passing attack that hits big plays occasionally, and play good defense (Alabama has won a bunch of games this way). But you can't turn the ball over 15-20 times (at the QB position) and expect to have success. This is what made Sokol and Driskel good, imo... they protected the ball. If it's not there, throw it away!
Our QBs, where are they this summer? Are they at any QB camps?
I only saw Higgins in the Kansas game in 2013 and he looked pretty good for a RS freshman. His only real boner in that game was the fumble while holding the ball out trying to score. Dixon also fumbled close to the goal line in that game. Since that year he really hasn't had much playing time so I expect much improvement.
Have you guys forgotten who our QB coach is now? I know he can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear, but perhaps we're not giving him enough credit.
Everyone is talking like Higgins has been announced as the starter. Maybe I missed the announcement, but doesn't Price Wilson still have a shot at it? Price's long ball was much more impressive than Ryan's. But Ryan's short game seemed more accurate than Price's. I think it's still a toss up, unless I missed the announcement.
Higgins will start the season with four int's and a fumble at Arkansas and we'll get our asses handed to us and once again, kill our hopes for a great season.
Only way to avoid this is keep Higgins on the bench where he belongs. He's our 2016 Donald Allen
Ryan Higgins is going to have a great season and prove all of you haters wrong.
At least let the dude throw a pass this year before you cut him down.
Well duuuuh! Experience and maturity are absolute requirements for a QB and that is why you don't give the starting QB position to a FRESHMAN!!! History has proven this over and over and over, but some BB&B boneheads think it doesn't apply at Louisiana Tech. Those same people were the ones clamouring for Nick "Mr. INT" Isham his freshman year, which was yet another inexperienced QB disaster for LA Tech.
