La Tech looks ahead to the season at CUSA Media Days
I guess the conference is so broke that they couldn't rent out hotel/convention space. It's held at the C-USA headquarter.
If the conference offices are adequate to handle it, that seems like a wise decision.

How close to true is that? He is not terribly wrong. With over 250,000 people in the SB BC area we can't get 10,000 of them to show up 65 miles across an interstate, and that probably includes a great number of Tech Alum (who would rather stay home, wear Purple and Puke and watch LSU on TV). I think he was disrepecting Shreveport, not Tech.
Our biggest fan base outside of Lincoln Parish is in Caddo/Bossier. Things like Tech and Tails don't grow from grass roots without great fan support from a local area.
Besides that he was referring to media, where Tech is included in the Shreveport/Texarkana DMA. He couldn't have been MORE wrong.
So what is the Shreveport Nielsen rating for a Tech game?

Should Shreveport ratings for a Tech game be measurably higher than other metro areas due to a higher concentration of Tech Alums? If he misspoke by saying "nobody in Shreveport watches Louisiana Tech", the numbers will support it.
How many Tech Alumni live within 100 miles of Ruston? We know how many go to games. How many watch games when they're on TV (and you guys can get ASN)? Making a bare statement that SBC had the largest fan base outside of Lincoln Parish isn't saying much if all we can draw is 18000 to a game in Ruston. We on BBB do go to games and watch on TV when we can't, but we are only a few die hard fans from all over - Oregon to Maryland to Arkansas and Texas.
