also, UMass announced gametime for 3:30 ET/2:30 CT
apparently the Miss State/UMass game is on ASN - I would assume our game will be as well.

I don't know if these games will be available nationally. They will be produced by a SA production company, but will probably have ASN branding.UTSA and Learfield's Roadrunners Sports Properties announced Monday that a pair of road football games have been added to KMYS-CW 35's television lineup for the upcoming 2016 season.
The station will air the Roadrunners' Conference USA contests at Old Dominion on Sept. 24 in Norfolk, Va., and Louisiana Tech on Nov. 12 in Ruston, La., and both will kick off at 2:30 p.m. (CT).
So... UTSA's Learfield Sports is going to come to Ruston to produce a game for local TV because Tech is incapable... That's just embarrassing for our admin and Tech Sports Properties. I can't recall a home team ever relinquishing their TV rights to a visiting team. For years, Tech should've been doing what UTSA is doing by partnering to produce games for TV that didn't get picked up.
Fresneck brought their own live broadcast several times to Ruston.

Here's the story from June about Quarter Moon picking up any UTSA game not aired http://www.bizjournals.com/sanantoni...thanks-to.html
It does help that SA is a large market and has production companies & lots of advertising $.
I didn't realize that. I knew they produced games in Fresno for the old WAC Sports Network.
How many years are we behind in this area? This is embarrassing for our admin and Tech Sports Properties.
G5 schools we've played that have produced our road games for TV or have partnered to do it:
New Mexico State
WKU
Fresno State
Boise State
Nevada
Utah State
Hawai'i
UTSA
ULL
I want to say Charlotte, Old Dominion, and Middle Tennessee have also done this, but I'm not 100% certain.
Remember when BVDV said C-USA would allow us to package games that didn't get picked up and sell them to Fox Sports New Orleans?
We have local TV stations that produce a high school football game of the week. Why hasn't Tech partnered with them to produce our football and basketball games that don't get picked up by our conference TV partners?
AAC schools don't have to because all of their football and basketball games are guaranteed to be produced per their contract with ESPN.
That's not a valid excuse. Market size does not matter. Our market produces high school football games that yield a lot less ROI than Tech games would, and schools in smaller markets have been able to get their games produced for TV just fine. It all comes down to effort, and our admin hasn't had it for years as far as TV goes.
