Amazing what this "volunteer" coach has done for our program. And the miles he has to travel to do it.

I wonder if Tech reimburses him for any of his travel. If not, they should.
Maybe we can spring for a haircut...
"Thanks, helluva game. Y'all got robbed from hosting, and then got robbed by imo 3 bad calls in the final inning vs Bama. I'll be rooting for Minnesota! Go beat Bama. "
And robbed at the ball called at the end for walk off walk.SMH
I honestly expect next year to be even better for Tech Softball. We lost only 4 seniors, only 2 full-time starters, and tremendous talent is coming in this fall. We started 2-3 first year players every game. All four pitchers are returning. Anyone who watched how we played the #1 team in the nation in our second game against them sat up and took notice of LA Tech. I believe we are on the cusp of regaining the recognition we earned years ago as one of the big names in college softball. It will take just a bit more commitment from our university, fans, and alumni. We need an indoor batting facility, incentives to keep a coaching staff that has advanced this program tremendously, and we desperately need fans in the seats. We should fill the stands every game, not just when we play LSU or ULL.
Without a doubt Lady Techsters Softball will be better next season. Coach Montgomery has been improving the talent level every year he's been here. With the 10 incoming players (one of which is Louisiana pitcher Gatorade Player of the Year) the depth will be comparable to what we had during the Lee Ann Jarvis years in the 1980's.
Congratulations on a great season, Techsters!

Although there were plenty of highlights, Taria Page’s pinch hit, two-out, full count, solo home run in the bottom of the seventh against No. 1 ranked Minnesota in the Tuscaloosa Regional might have been the best illustration of Louisiana Tech softball’s never-say-die mentality in 2017.

Awesome. I think we'll continue to see good things from him.
