The practice jersey numbers ARE the game numbers. . . . whaddya think we are? a NIKE school?

What is the ruling if two guys happen to be on the same special team with the same number?

Probably a procedure penalty. Maybe an illegal substitution.

The rules say they can't be on the field at the same time. One must change jersey and report to ref (which we've heard announced). Still can't find the penalty for not doing it.

I saw another story that said if officials rule that team was attempting to deceive opponents by swapping numbers during a game the penalty is 15 yards.
