I am still trying to forget the USM curb stomping we took last year......I have not seen us beaten down like that in some time....not even from a P5 school.
Team dynamics change yearly... for all teams.
That was a bad combo of our team being unprepared and Monken wanting to make a statement. He's gone now. I think the game will be very different this year.
Yes, Monken had them peaked for our game. It was all down hill after that. Kicked our butt big time, but the poor handling of team chemistry cost them the last two games that were both very winnable.

Can't beat a SWAC team with 7.....well, we would, but in that case it would be close.
WKU at home on a Thursday should give us an advantage. We are a poor road team so MTSU will be tough.
I hope to never test that theory.
We need this year's team to do the opposite. They've got a great chance to get rolling after the first 4. If we split WKU and MTSU, I think we win 8. We'll have to see if all the USM hype is deserved.

I remember it didn't take 7 to lose to NWST. I think it was 5 for that game.
I literally wanted to vomit after the USM game last year. I'm mean really. I didn't sleep worth a crap. Not only did they beat the living crap out of us, they kicked us in the mouth when we tried to get up. One of the most demoralizing games I've ever been to. I hope there's payback this year.
