Damn D65 you scared the piss out of me
Haven't seen a diagnosis, but saying out 4-8 weeks.
The injury-bug concerns me. He was injury-prone while here. How many games did he miss, and how many more was he limited because he was nursing an injury? If (big IF) he had remained 100% healthy all 4 years, he would have set records that may never have been broken. Including 100 career TDs.
The NFL (Not For Long) is another notch up from big time CFB.
"Injury prone" or bad luck?
Prone implies he was doing something he shouldn't have been doing...like going for extra yardage when he should have gone down. Prone also implies he has a weakness, like his knees are more prone to injury than other guys in his position. He has had some bad luck, but he hasn't done anything wrong. The greatest RBs in the history of football were "injury prone" by the definition some of you are using.
"Injury prone" gets thrown around too much. Paul Turner was injured during much of his time at Tech. He was often referred to as "injury prone". He had one injury while at Tech.
Being fumble prone hurt hurt Dixon's draft stock not being injury prone.
Here is it...

Out 4 weeks, MCL tear, no surgery
That's gonna hurt his long term chances. If you let your backup see the field...
It's better than it could be though.
Are we (er, really YOU) splitting hairs here? Call it what you will, but KD got injured with some regularity while here. And this makes TWICE already in the NFL.
PRONE
ADJECTIVE
- prone to/prone to do something)
likely to or liable to suffer from, do, or experience something, typically something regrettable or unwelcome:
"years of logging had left the mountains prone to mudslides" · [more]
"he is prone to jump to conclusions"
synonyms: susceptible · vulnerable · subject · open · liable · given · predisposed
He should just hang it up then right?
10 years from now he could be a great NFL RB and might have been healthy all that time. Based on your definition he would STILL be injury prone.
Bad luck, not "prone to injury".
. Me also-- I started following the story last nite. Carted off the Coach said "not to bad" - then 24-7 reported Achilles and out for year. This AM nothing new. The new - happier news just came out. I been worried about the story since last nite---- going to get Sportsdawg to post the article from Ravens 247. Happy to be wrong on this-- and here I thought I could trust the press
You are not allowed to post after 9 pm anymore. He was reading the article and merged the info about watson with dixon.
I am SO happy to apologize-- I was up way past my bedtime and checking on JD- Butler- Paul Turner and following the KD story. Just retread the 247ravens story and it was Watson with Achilies--no more reporting on injuries from me-- I officially fire myself-- sorry for misinformation
You old human you!
