Bachman v. Feaster

I caught some of the Fletcher show this past week and John Bachman and David Feaster seem to have a pretty public feud going on. From what I gather, Bachman has called Feaster out for recruiting (presumably because Feaster favored the select/non-select divide).

Anybody else know what's going on?

Feaster received a transfer from Evangel and kinda played dumb regarding how it all occurred. Bachman likes to play the "choice" card with regard to allowing families to pick schools with waivers or whatever. We all know good and well what type of students Calvary wants (and they aren't typical to the region).

Somehow Parkway is bringing in football players from West Shreveport. Theoretically it's Huntington and Southwood's coaches who should be upset because they are coming from their districts, but in reality Feaster is taking players who would most likely go to Calvary or Evangel. It's more than just that one transfer from Evangel.

There's probably a lot more between those two we don't know, but what we do know is that Feaster has pretty much made enemies with everybody.

Doesn't West Shreveport have failing schools?

- If a school is failing a student can transfer to a performing school.

- a player can begin their freshman year at any school in the parish they reside in.

Parkway is in Bossier Parish, not Caddo Parish.

duh on me... Whatever allows it the principals have signed off on. Not sure of all the failing school rules but the LHSAA is now watching transfer students like a hawk

The Caddo principal I spoke with told me he has no clue how Parkway is taking kids out of Southwood and Huntington's districts across parish lines.

Here was an interview David Feaster did on the Tim Fletcher Show about five months ago when the whole public vs private debate was picking up steam. From listening to the interview, it's kinda easy to see how Feaster can make a lot of enemies very fast.

LHSAA will be no more in the near future. The private schools are ready to bolt and some key public schools want to bolt with them as well.

Feaster wins wherever he goes, and makes LOTS of enemies wherever he goes. He is one of "us", by the way, but I don't know if he supports his alma mater in any fashion.

No he isn't "one of us"! Once you put the purple and gold on and cheer for the tigers, you have the "us" card taken away. He is a piece of crap!
