Hey everyone! An Arkansas fan here, I come in peace. I just wanted to say good luck on Saturday, I hope everyone driving up has a safe trip and a great time! Looking forward to a good football game, hopefully with no injuries for either team. I still remember the Orange Bowl, circa 1978(?), when Lou benched his star running back and another player or two for team rule violations. The little-known back-up RB then set a bowl record for rushing as the 3-touchdown underdogs Razorbacks pounded Oklahoma.

While I was not alive to see that game, I have watched the full replay numerous times. I remind my wife often about that game, since she and her family are Oklahoma fans.

We will not be. We dont start school until after labor day, the band is meeting for the first time this week.

That's too bad. I always enjoying hearing other teams bands and fight songs (excluding Tennessee and Oklahoma) I think that's a big reason why I love college football better than NFL.

I've never been to a game in Fayetteville. What will the game atmosphere be like when our QB takes his first collegiate snap? Pretty much like any SEC game?

It will be pretty similar to most SEC venues. It'll be a lively crowd due to it being an afternoon game and the first game of the season, but probably not the loudest place as compared to when Alabama or LSU comes to town, which is no fault of your own. We should have about 90% capacity I would say. The tailgating will be decent, but not near what it would be if the game was in Little Rock. Overall I think it'll be a great crowd and environment. I would recommend hitting up Dickson either before or after the game.

I've been to a few early afternoon kickoffs at Razorback Stadium. It's loud when they do the Pig Sooie cheer, other than that it's pretty tame. I would compare it to Ole Miss loudness.
