Rice is no longer higher than us. We are now 4th and Rice is now 8th in the composites, and we are 5th and Rice is 7th in CBS.

Still don't know why some folks want to rank WKU ahead of LA Tech. In addition to beating them head-to-head, it should have been at least a 10-14 point win for LA Tech, if not for the stupid blocked punt returned for a TD in the 4th Qtr when our guys thought the thing was over. Just a freak play. Point is, I would categorize LA Tech as about 10 points better than WKU on any field. I guess we'll get our chance to prove it.

I would say the same thing about last year vs. USM. If not to a freak 4th quarter (starting with a Dixon fumble with us down 14 and past mid-field), we would have had a great chance to win. But we fell apart. I agree that we should be ranked above WKU, but our meltdowns against SoMiss, Arky, WKU, and MTSU hurt us perception wise.

That could be right, though I suppose them only scoring 10 points was a big factor too. My "bias" was more for how SoMiss was still ranked above UTSA, though I suppose Myerberg did that too. But CBS ranked SoMiss well above UNT, while Myerberg did not
