Cedric Glover is the former mayor of S'port. But, he's 100% right, and more right than maybe he knows, or is letting on to. There is a "benign neglect" for NW and Central Louisiana. I see it across the board, across many sectors. Not only in Higher Ed, but in, well, economic development as well. LED has been reallocating resources away from NW and Central Louisiana for years. Yeah, the excuse is the budget woes. But it's funny how they come to this area to TAKE money and GIVE it to other areas of the state. Most recently, in the SBDC, the Alexandria office and Shreveport offices were closed, de-staffed, and the money put into the SE portion of the state and to the NE, since, for some stupid reason, ULM holds the state office contract with the SBA.
Contact your state reps and senators and ask them to investigate the LSBDC. That'll be a real eye-opener on wasted taxpayer funds.
I like Cedric Glover. It was a privilege to work with him when he was mayor. The new mayor, Ms. Ollie Tyler (??) is also doing a good job. But Glover really understands economics. I think he's a state rep now, and I plan to meet with him, and about a dozen other reps and senators, and lobby for NW and Central Louisiana.
Is anyone baffled by LSU fans in North Louisiana allowing their team to completely ignor them. Arkansas at least schedules some games in Little Rock. Is it possible that North LA LSU fans are not intelligent enough to know they're just suckers who are being played.
Scott Ferrell leads the pack of dumbass lsu fans.
