Same with me here in Texas. I prefer just the State T, but no one confuses it. I haven't met many people that do not know Louisiana Tech by La. Tech, El A Tech, Lah Tech, or Louisiana Tech. We are known and never had anyone think of Los. Angeles.

Brands definitely matter. However, you don't have to have one and only one. Nobody confuses "Coke" with "cocaine", "coke petroleum distillate", or "Coke County, Texas". Coca-Cola, Coke, Coke Zero, Coke Lite, and others are all references to the Coca-Cola Company. As a brand marketer for 30 years, my professional opinion is that some of you are just being petty and goofy, but carry on.

So as a professional, you agree with Tech's market peeps that the LA(BlockT)TECH should be our primalry brand? It's not like they use two. They ONLY use the one and countless idiots who have been pointed out in this thread call us ELLAYE Tech because of it and our constant use of LA in every university font. They've been doing it for years.

Just the block T required some thought and we never had a branding problem when using it. Then the snowflakes decided to simplify it for all the over achievers out there and we have many, many examples of "Everyone" NOT knowing what it is. It ain't EllAye
