At least we know there defense sucks.
I thought Spike was a defensive guy?
If we get into a shoot-out with them, we will most definitely lose.
Have you considered those Dogs?
We need Carlos Henderson to show up as a WR. He has got to learn how to FIGHT for the football and catch it, not just let it bounce off his hands.
vs Arkansas 6 catches for 71 yards and 0 TDs
vs SC St 5 catches for 38 yards and 0 TDs (and several drops, some of which would have been TDs).
We will lose in a pass happy shootout. We better find balance to take pressure off interception prone Higgins
Listened to Tech with Teddy and Nitz on way back last nite-- we bailed at 9 , had grandson and coming back at 3am with wet young man kinda bad idea plus no way to be sure when / if game would start-- anyway, teddy and Dave was awesome, funny stuff.
Got home as game started, listened to Dave- followed play by play on IPad and watched TT -- as usual they are loaded for bear on offense-- next week could be Tech vs AM type game
TT's defense is pitiful against the run and pass.
I think the keys for us will be:
NO TURNOVERS - we can't be giving up possessions.
YAC - they are going to complete a lot of passes, we have to limit yards after catch.
QB Containment - if you can pressure Mahome while keeping him in the pocket he will make some bad throws. No pressure, or letting him get outside the pocket is when he makes big plays.

Mahomes, “is kind of a Brett Favre-type quarterback. He has just an uncanny ability to get outside the pocket. He will run to one side and throw back to the middle of the field. It’s a cardinal sin to do that. He does it with regularity. The other night he throws a no-look pass. I mean, he’s looking out here and throws the ball to a guy in the middle of the field, so he’s extremely talented.“He just has a sense; he has that quarterback-sense that he just feels that pressure and has a unique ability to get back outside of containment and when he does, boy, hold onto your hat.”
“He’s big. He’ll run up in there (in the pocket) and all of a sudden you’ve got guys converging on him and whoever you left in coverage, he’ll just dump it right over your head. We have a plan to try and cast a net and keep him in, like everyone else does, but that’s easier said than done sometimes with a guy of his ability.”
More on TX Tech QB Patrick Mahomes... He IS Texas Tech's offense.

Mahomes needs 43 (updated 34) passing touchdowns to tie Kingsbury for second in career passing touchdowns at Tech. Mahomes currently has 52 (updated 61) passing touchdowns which ranks sixth in school history.
6. He leads the nation in TD passes since becoming starter
Mahomes took over as the definite Tech started in Nov. 2014 and has completed 50 (59) touchdown passes. According to ESPN College Football insider Jake Trotter, no other QB has passed for more during that span.
7. Little recruitment, big opportunity
Mahomes might owe his teammate Dylan Cantrell for his recruitment to Tech. Mahomes played well at Whitehouse but was lightly recruited, according to Trotter. He was only seriously looked at by North Texas, Rice and Houston at the time.

Don't let Mahomes get outside the pocket for 4-1/5 hours next Saturday night. There will be 300 BB&Bers wanting our DC fired immediately.
