I was thinking about that. That's basically the Texas Tech team this year. I think we lost 3 different ways that year: 1. A&M outscored us with a similar offense as ours (+ Johnny Football). 2. Utah State beat us doing what they do on offense and having the better defense. 3. Offensive turnovers vs SJ State.

I like option 2 for our team. Just do what we do on offense and hope the defense plays well. *Never relax on defense regardless of the score... they can score in bunches at any time (like our 2012 team).

Off subject, but I had ULM +46. I had never seen that large a spread.

I read that Baker said we have good depth on defense. I think the article read that he has over 20 guys he is comfortable playing. We will need that against Texas Tech

I watched the ASU-TT game as I listened to the Tech game Saturday. They dink and dunk a lot. Our cover guys need to be on them and hit them hard off the ball. Mess up their timing. Then our rush needs to get to Mahomes. We can beat TT.

They will have to be able to go entire series though. TX Tech runs hurryup and often doesn't substitute so the defense can't rotate in fresh bodies.

We just have to blow a guy out of his Nike's every few plays. When they sub for a guy who can't tell you how many fingers you are holding up, we can sub too.

^^^THIS!! I believe the worst thing we could do is try to mirror Texas Tech's play. Inevitably, they will be better at what they do than we will be at what THEY do. We've got to play our own game, and force TX Tech to play it our way.

Actually, I believe LA Tech will match up with TX Tech very well. Better than most people think. TX Tech is very weak on defense, and we have a well balanced offense that should be able to sustain long drives and keep the ball away from TX Tech's hot hand offense.

But our DEFENSE is where LA Tech will have to win this game. Our defense has gotta get sacks, force TX Tech into committing penalties, force some turnovers and essentially just keep TX Tech in "3rd and long" situations. We've gotta keep their back to the wall.

Yes, TX Tech's offense is powerful, but it also makes a lot of mistakes. Our defense must capitalize on those mistakes. No excuses.

Best summary I've seen as to how we beat Texas Tech!!

TX is a postal code and is only appropriate if you are sending them mail. It should be written Tex. Tech. Don't you people know anything. TX is not an acceptable abbreviation of Texas , people are going to think that you mean treatment or transmission or transfer or tax.

The AP stylebook doesn't allow an abbreviation of Texas.

TeeTech is the way to go!

    And their hashtag . . . #WreckEm

Teddy even said he was confused. He said Monday he thought they said #Rectum

Oh, I get it. Like the TX International Airport, or the TX tech industry.
