Radio Crew - Weather Delay Sat night

Shout out to the radio crew for the Saturday night performance.


started listening on the ride in to Ruston and gave up right at midnight. Dave, Teddy and Malcom were so damn entertaining during the delay. We as Tech fans are spoiled with the quality of radio broadcast we get for a G5 school. Dave is a radio legend and we are lucky to have him on our team.

Teddy does much better not talking when Dave is announcing the play by play......Dave blended so well with Teddy during the delay....and Malcom was a great balance to mellow out Teddy when needed. I don't know what these guys are paid but I am positive that it is not enough.



Malcom needs to work on his remote radio equipment - cuts in and out way too much....maybe it was all the weather / lightening last night.

Favorite quote of the night is from Teddy, something along the lines, that 3 of Techs players had used up their eligibility last night due to the length of the weather delay.

My favorite line was after Malcolm explained why they couldn't go back to local programming because the affiliates would have dead air.

I laughed when they talked about wanting to go to something at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon but would not be able to- they would still be there. They did a great job- in a very difficult situation. You know they were so ready for the game to start so they would have something to talk about again

Major props to those guys. I have been at this now a while and I don't know if I could have done what they did. Why Nitzer is a legend and Teddy is well Teddy haha.

Yeah...I so appreciate our guys. I will confess. On the drive home around 830 pm I searched for the ULM station to see how bad they were getting thumped. If I had to listen their announcers for more than 10 minutes, I would go insane.
